The EastPoint Shuttle tracker was built to seamlessly guide commuters to and from the business park using real time information. We endeavoured to bring the very best in GPS technology and user interface design to makes the lives of daily commuters easier.

Challenge

EastPoint management operate a small fleet of private buses to transport workers to and from the business park on a daily basis. Over 1000 commuters use the bus service daily but due to the variability of arrival and departure times of public transport services, EastPoint we’re unable to implement a timetable for their bus service.

Approach

The goal was to create a service to help commuters by building a mobile app which allowed commuters to track the bus fleet serving Eastpoint in real-time, see arrival times, route maps and a schedule for operating hours.

Solution

We delivered mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms. The user experience was designed to be simple and easy to use, whilst the web service and the backend had to be reliable and accurate. The result is a mobile experience that had very simple UX and location data sent every 2 seconds to deliver pinpoint location accuracy
